Curia knew that she had to catch her breath. That last blast had left her seeing stars. Her opponents' stances indicated they were prepared for her if she chose to rush them. So instead, she spun on her heels and kicked the door completely off its hinges. In a blink she was outside, where she immediately took to the skies. The girls ran after her. Curia hovered triumphantly out of range of their powers. For a moment they stared silently at her. Then like a couple of crazed dogs feeding off the frenzy of each other one started to curse at her, then the other joined. The two of them barked obscenities at her that would have made a sailor blush. Curia smiled spitefully at them, knowing that her confidence would just piss them off even more. She considered risking a bold maneuver that could incapacitate them. It's about time the tables turned, she thought to herself.
