Why couldn't she be a sleeper agent for Chrysalis or another villain? For Dash was always being told not to be her true rough, tough, possibly devious self. She was the one the others always had to keep an eye on. She should have had enough and became a villain for a short few episodes or so to teach the others that she's loyal to everypony, including herself. That last bit we never saw I believe. For Dash never had a moment were she stood up and never apologized for the true fun, pranking, lazy, some what skunk pony that she truly is.
