Description
They had been fishing all day that they hardly noticed the clouds darken overhead and the wind get chilly. Steel had been in and out of the water all day and he had just caught a large salmon when he heard the distant call of his handler. The wind blew fast overhead and her voice carried slightly that he almost missed it. He shook the water from his ears and looked over his shoulder at her ears pricked and straining to hear the commands she yelled over the wind. Supplies over her shoulder and the bag of collected fish ready next to his discarded tack meant it was time to head home. He was having fun despite himself and he didn't exactly want to leave but when rain started to land on his muzzle he decided to go against his own wishes and head back to shore. The fish was heavy, and probably not needed but he brought it with him anyway despite that it still flopped helplessly in his mouth and could probably survive if dropped. He carried it back to his handler, his jaw starting to strain from the weight of the flopping fish.
