Hmm. My mother isn't amused at all right now. Geez, getting pissed this easily is a record, even for her...Anyway, this is a gift to my grandmother, who is in hospital right now. I just got time to scan it in... Also, this isn't big at all. It's A5 size, really tiny, haha.

This is beautifully done! i loove your color pallette and the textures present here :3 You also have glorious anatomy on the head here which is something i have always found difficult personally lol. May i ask (if you have time of course!) what you used to make this?

Well, for this one, I think I only used a random HB pencil and a Derwent 2B pencil ^^
For the background, I used some watercolour pencils from Faber-Castell

You're very welcome it is a beautiful piece and the fact that you only used HB and 2B pencil is even more impressive! I have always wanted to learn how to water color.. i have used them but never actually learned the techniques and such lol.

Art class doesn't really explain painting around here,
they just give you a pencil and they say "paint this".

haha yeah i need to start looking up water color tutorials. Last time i tried painting with water colors i used acrylic techniques lol and it didnt work out so great ([link] ) i mean it looks ok just not like water color lol
My art classes taught many things but never watercolor for some reason.. it's sad because it is a very pretty median to use and see.

It looks really good to me, altough not really water color-ish, that's true.
We don't really get lessons in it either, but if we've got questions
about how to use things or certain methods, our teachers just answer them.
