Description
Temporary ref sheet for a new character, this is Khyaera!Don't know much about her and still working a lot out, so the info on the sheet is likely to change. The only things set in stone are her name, that she communicates through sign language, and her appearance (for the most part; the ears of all things are bugging me and may be changed).
She actually doesn't have a part in my main story, but is one of the major characters in a side story that takes place afterwards. So, she might not show up for awhile. I really just wanted to get her appearance and that little bit of info down while it was fresh in my head.

I've seen creatures that look exactly like this... is this a common species made by people or was it like, a species that people were allowed to use by its original creator?

Depends. I have these guys listed as a species (the Cu'Raeyth), but that's more for the culture I have written for them and not so much their looks.
Sparkle dogs and sparkle glooms, and just animals with skulls for heads in general aren't something you can really copyright and make into a species based on looks alone because it's already been done so many times. I know there are several people who do have species based on the concept of a canine having a skull for a head, but again, it's not something they can totally claim. If you type 'skull dog species' into the search box, you'll get multiple species and random characters based on the general concept of it.
Or to try to explain it better in other words, if one single person tried to copyright the whole thing and claim it was their own original species, it'd be like if someone made a super generic looking dragon and claimed they invented all dragons.
