I'm really wondering if I might be able to persuade you to do a project for me......?

A Behemoth from Final Fantasy. More specific is a model of the version I've drawn. I think it would be an amazing work in 3D and would love to see what you would do with it! I'm willing to work out the price based on what you estimate the projects worth to be. Including supplies, so if you have an estimation, we could start from there. It doesn't have to be huge. Something I could display on a tabletop or shelf would be perfect. : )

Hello, Sorry I didn't respond earlier! I saw the image I think you're referring to and it would definitely be a cool sculpt. Doing a one-off sculpt like this tends to be very expensive because all the time involved.Β Β If you were to paint it yourself it would Β be cheaper, but the sculpt itself would be pretty complex with all the feathers in the wings.Β I could probably spend a couple weeks on this getting it just right. Realistically, I would probably charge more than $1,000 for a sculpture commission like this.Β
If you have an idea what you would be willing pay for a sculpt based on your design, maybe we could figure out a way to make it more cost effective, like having the wings folded up against the body, etc.

Definitely. The sketch is the basic idea of it, and the sculpture doesn't have to exactly match it. I would love to hear more of your thoughts on what can be done to make it a little more cost efficient. I can handle painting it myself, so that's one thing. Realistically, I can't spend more than a few hundred on it (my boyfriend would murder me if I spend too much for this, though your work is definitely worth it), but I'm willing to work something out.

the detail is amazing! Have you ever worked in wax or monster clay?

I just started working in monster clay AND (carving) wax for some small scale jewelry commissions. I'm actually mixing the 2 to get a really stiff wax that I can still "sculpt" with.

very cool. I can only imagine if you can get this kind of detail in super sculpey what you'll be able to do with monster clay & wax. Β Can't wait to see what you make!
