One of the two colored sketch commissions for !
I've been facing a severe insecurity about my art. It felt like everything I could make was not worth trying, and even later on when I convinced myself it was worth it I was still too self-critical to start a project. ...or keep working on the multiple big projects I have under way already.
So receiving a headshot sketch commissions of two cool dragon characters was like a gift from the heavens.
:blackrayser: can take all the credit for a good timing and sweet sweet character designs. Making these two pictures was fun and rewarding, since all I really needed was to see myself create something nice. Sometimes it's as simple as that.

Don't ever be insecure about your art. Trust me. Your style is semply amazing and you draw and paint like a real professional artist.
You're a great inspiration for me. I spent hours during this years watching your art, specially your bird one. They're semply incredible!
As I said, you were the first who draw Qixilen and at the beginning I was very worried about that, not because of you or your art, but because I'm always apprehensive with some characters of mine.
But you did it perfectly

Aww, thank you so much! Your words mean a lot. :3 Like, sometimes it's just an art block but I've had times when I've searched for something to blame for not making art. But really it's just the fact that I was too self critical and denied myself the chance to be proven wrong. Being able to work on commission art was like a kick in the bum to just get to work. :'> I'm looking forward to being able to draw your characters again~
