I love this, especially since you made the cavewoman African-looking (a lot of people forget that the first humans were African), but the Smilodon was a North American animal and therefore would not have encountered Africans.

I was watching a documentary that said the Cro Magnon came from Europe and ran the Neanderthal out of business. I guess it really depends on what you define as "the first human." But yeah, I like the African cavies.

This is a wonderful, wonderful picture though, and one of your best. I think the anatomy and the complexity of the posing in this one demonstrates pretty clearly the leaps and bounds you've made in your art over the years.
There's a completeness about the scene that immediately draws the eye to this image. The focus of it is clear and the subject matter fun and intriguing. Your style works well with the content, and I feel like it's something totally new that I haven't seen you do before.
You're getting better and better at subtly blending colours and shading. You can notice that on her skin, especially.

<3 I assumed you had other shit on your mind. The shading on this is really incredible, especially the textured areas like her hair. And the way you did the markings on the sabre, very clever. I'm really loving the lines of her ankles, I would never think to delineate them like that, it looks very natural. She just has such a sweet face that contradicts so wonderfully with the bloody bone-club in her hand. And you know how I feel about cave ladies. Some day I will do a sexy comic about neanderthals, and everyone will be uncomfortable.
