Overall an huge amount of effort seems to be done on this image which gives the accurate depth perception and does not loose any artistic touches in the process. Furthermore, I adore the lighting effects that you put into this thing, the light rays from the edge of the clouds, then correct use of lighting effects on the mountains, and the reflection of the bright clouds contribute to making this whole image more vibrant and makes this piece "attention-grabbing".

How could it be improved:-
The mountains on the left looks a little bit too "smooth" in some areas, adding more roughness to the mountainous terrain can increase the realism in this image..
There seems to be too many different colors "fighting for attention" in the sky (the sky is consisting of yellow, orange, pink, green, violet, black and tints of other related colors. Using a small palette of colors (e.g. yellow and dark blue) and using their specific amounts shades in the sky, could reduce the "artificial" effect in the sky... Otherwise, If you wanted artificial effect from the start, then what you did is good enough..
Lastly, adding stars in the dark portions of the sky could improve the overall "vibrancy" in this image.....

Overall, amazing work. And keep sending more pieces like this to DA...

By the way, which software did you use to make this?

I have to commend you for your rather detailed comment. For one who has become rather used to writing like this more often than not, its a strange feeling to be on the receiving end of the critique.

This was such an afterthought piece that I barely remember when I made the thing in the first place. However, I will see if I can re-design it later on down the line.

To answer your previous question, the program I use is called Terragen.

The water came out great! the details are subtle but I like the turbulent pattern in the waves which is still just noticable by the reflections of the sun on it the sky colour is pretty cool too, different enough for it to look alien, but not so over the top that it looks unbelievable (which is an easy mistake )

Amazing as always. I love how the sun brights up the cloud, and their reflection on the water is also beautiful. The colors of the whole pic are just so real and still gorgeous, kinda the same view as the sea at a sunset or sunrise after a very hot summer day.

Love the water in this pic. It just seems that it's lacking a bit of texture throughout the rest of the picture. Maybe add a few stars and a little bit more variation as far as texture on the left. It feels too... videogamish. Otherwise, lovely pic and fav'd.
