First thing i thought of was child abuse or bullying.
To my interpretation, it fits perfectly.
The irregular fake nails bring an adult into the picture.
Maybe im taking it too seriously.
Anyhow, a good idea well executed.

i have seen this many a time on thumbshare forums and thought i should comment.
as you broke the rules when i said '1 2 or 3 deviations' im only gonna comment on this one.
the only bad thing i can find is your name - it maskd the picture.
make it smaller and put it in a corner, it sort of ruind the picture a little

This is great! how did you get the face onto the hands? Photoshop? The magnified face really contributes to the picture.
Were the fingernails randomly painted on purpose?

i did it in the darkroom and photoshop... yes the nails were done on purpose

The meaning I get from this is someone trying to hide their face with their hands (well duh), but the thing is, their shame shows through as if their real personality is burning through their shame of who they really are. This one really caught my eye, mainly because of all the ones that seem to just be "there" just pictures you took, this one you changed digitally to a really nice effect. It sort of creeped me out at first, but once i got used to it, it was really a thought processor.

i love this...i like the depth of it and the feeling u get from the eyes i like the off balance aspect of it with the nails and how the facial features r off center its almost like she is hidding but is incapable of it or something like that this is a really great concept

i want to suggest one thing though, you may want to shrink it because during full view you can see all the dust from the black hair and maybe add a white border... it wouldn't ruin it- to me, it would strengthen

Great concept, and good job with the photo manip, it's an interesting pic, like she's trying to hide her face, but hiding it is what reveals who she is. Something like that. I like it a lot man.
