i tried my best i love doing the details/backgrounds
andd yess the top one character is suppose to be doing magic so i wanted some kind of flowy surreal movement

and the bottom one is a pirate so i wanted some waves and sea movement

i'm not that experience in screentones actually, never actually try using them much in my works so i figure these kinds of repetitive motifs works best my inspirations are =Toonikun and *kidchan their patterns and motifs are definately amazing ^___^
