Great job there! I love the coloring.
But I think you can blend more with the shading [using smudge tool]
And also, try avoid THICK outlines. Remember if you want it to be less and less 2d-liked: more shading and less dark outlines. Next time you can make the lines thinner, maybe?

I guess the only problem is your art. You should spend some time practice it. Perhaps, get a cosplay photo or sth and try to draw the pose and everything.

You can always send your sketch to somebody to ask for error to change. 'cuz other people eyes will immediately notice false in proportion and etc.
