So, for some reason, the GTA wiki has gotten a lot of things wrong about an agency the police scanner refers to as the Special Forces from GTA 2 (of course, this is wikipedia after all, they're always wrong). You probably know this all ready, but in case if you don't, the Special Forces only come if you have a wanted level of five stars (or cop heads since this is classic GTA). The wiki claims that the Special Forces are an "unnamed agency" and some sources even state that they are an "unknown organization." What really gets on my nerves is that one source even called them "the predecessor of the FBI." This is so wrong on so many levels!

So who is this "unknown agency?" Well, that's actually simple. They're the FBI. Don't believe me? Well then, let me explain. If you look at the official description of GTA 2, you will get a lot of information about the game itself.

"Grand Theft Auto is back. The cars are faster. The streets are busier. The bad guys are nastier. The police are angrier. And now, the FBI and the Army are getting involved..."

That's right, the Special Forces are indeed the FBI. That should have been obvious to whoever was writing those wikipedia pages, but it seems that MatPat really has influenced his viewers into spreading a lot of misinformation within the GTA wikipedia (don't take that too seriously, I doubt MatPat was actually involved in this situation). I hope I helped solve this problem a little bit, because I am sick of people not knowing that the Special Forces are actually the FBI.
