Hi,
I've just finished this yesterday !
Technique is virtual clay sculpting, compositing, rendering and strong digital painting to finish the work.

It's inspired by the feeling to have an exclusive connection with very few people, and that from this connection emerge a new kind of connection capability with other people.
The metaphore of the mushroom as a medium is not very subtle , but this is what I had in mind (probably influenced by what I was litening recently : "Mycelium" title from the fabulous 'King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard').
