Story (so sorry for my English :S) - 312 words

Ari was quite nervous - that wasn't anything unusual for him, though. Their first show with Saga was coming - Ari felt they were very well prepared, but still had some doubt - after all, he hadn't known Saga for a long time - he bought her only a few months ago. It was a long story of how he got her. He wasn't looking for a horse at all. After his first (and he though also the last) horse died, it felt like he could never own another horse ever again. But there he was, riding his new baroque mare, she was just brilliant in every aspect. She settled in very well, she grew some thicker fur needed to survive in cold Swedish climate and made friends with other horses in the stables pretty quickly. Overall, he was proud of her - came here when she only knew how to walk under the saddle and today, she's performing better than a lot of older horses he's trained.
Ari wasn't new to the dressage sport, but it felt like it. Saga wasn't paying attention to him and when the stepped into the snowy arena, it didn't look very well. Ari was thinking about all the things that made him uncomfortable - the dressage suit was too big and baggy and he hasn't broken into his new boots yet. He felt eyes on him, probably judging him, his face, his chest, maybe even his horse...? Anxiety kicked in pretty quickly. He started to lose control over himself, and in that moment, Saga slowed down a little bit, nudging her head softly, like she tried to say - 'it's okay little human, I got ya'. Ari blinked a few times and got a better hold of his reins, feeling a tad more clam.
After they finished, Ari gave Saga a big pat on her neck and hugged her tightly, smiling faintly.
