At that point it can be discerned that he is in his early twenties. In the regular timeline Trunks in his early twenties was in GT. This got me to thinking...

So in thinking of such things as I always do (too much) I came up with a filler for this time line as well as an explanation on how Pan and Trunks eventually hooked up despite the age difference in my "Lost Generation" series.

Very long story short, somewhat short...
After the androids were destroyed Babidi came to Earth to revive Majin Buu, better late than never I suppose.
He attempted to revive his creation with the energy of the most powerful person on Earth, by default, Trunks.
Wise to Babidi's treachery Trunks evaded the ambush and with the help of Supreme Kai, Kibbito, an 8 year old Bartin, Android 16 (recoverd from Gero's Lab) and Lt. Grey (Bartin's Mother), they managed to kill Majin Buu before he could hatch.

Just before Babidi met his own fate he unleashed a final burst of magic that gave the people of the world a choice to become Majin Warriors.
Some refused, by many accepted the evil power and in turn, individuals with evil hearts gained horrible powers. (Think Dawn of the Dead and the new movie Doomsday)
Another dark age had risen in Trunk's timeline and the losses began. Witnessing his mother being overwhelmed and killed by Majin hoards, young Bartin ascends to Super Saiyan, doing something that his regular timeline counterpart is unable to do till his is 18.
Five years pass and the Majin are slowly begining to dwindle. Rallied by the Demon King himself, Dabura prepares for one final strike against the New Z fighters.
One of the remaining champiions, Bartin above is 13 years old and has been taken under the wing of our hero Trunks.
