This was my semester project in my Principles Of 2-D class. We had to create a cover for a school magazine.

Our original guidelines were to create something with a 'splatter' technique. That was dropped & we were basically able to do whatever we wanted (aside from it needing to be a grayscale image for printing purposes).

I wanted to do something water-like...something fluid-like...liquid-like.
The more I worked on this, the more it began to look like a photogram. An eerie ghostly haunted smokey liquid photogram.
One of my teachers & I accidentally printed it out in color...even though it is a grayscale image.

This grayscale image, printed in color, is a bit darker (obviously), but it was amazing how that little difference really changed the appearance.
