I found a joke on net about "Bitte",that made me so interest in German.The language really looks like very easy!!!I can imagine I only know "bitte" that will can answer any question from German aru! Heard very wonderful~Bitte bitte

Uhh, anyway, I've never thought about this. It's hilarious, though. xD
But I'd also never think someone would say German looks easy. Of all the languages I know at least a bit, German has got the most messed up grammar. The vocab might be easy, but the grammar will screw you. Well... at least I couldn't explain the endless amount of exceptions in grammatical rules, and I've been speaking German for about 17 years now.

I want to learn German so bad. I've given up on Japanese, but I think German and English are actually pretty close 'cause I have listened to a few German songs and I can, for the most part, comprehind(sp?) what they're saying.

You should give it a try. It actually is quite easy for native English speakers to learn German... and for German to learn English. I don't know why thought :/

The reason it's easy to learn German if you're English and English if you're German is that the languages have the same roots. They're both part of the Germanic language group, along with Danish, Dutch and Norse. If you look closely at English, you actually find that it's basically what happened when French and German had an illegitimate child who they then proceeded to ignore for several hundred years. The history is a bit complicated, but it has something to do with Vikings and William the Conqueror.
Similar reasoning applies to Italian, Spanish and French, which are all in the Romance language group and are based off Latin. I speak French, but I can read Italian and Spanish most of the time.
