In my opinion it's better than the movies, mainly because the art style and the series makes a lot more sense, The movies seemed hard to follow (or maybe it was just me)

For me they were hard to understand too, but I like style in which it is drawn, so I rewatched 3 or 4 times. Also, I like movie OST a lot *0*

SAC blows the movie out of the water in every regard. The art, the music, the story it's all far better quality work.
