This is quite an eerie and mysterious photograph, which is why I adore it so much! The texture and faded colours of the scenery brings a sort of distorted depth and gritty realism to the obviously dismal scene. The corpse is also finely detailed, especially the hue of the flesh and spotty lacerations. Brilliant work!
