Not the most realistic work of mine, but for sure one of the most emotional ones. I haven't had so much fun painting since... I was in kindergarten or something, I guess.

When I finished this yesterday, it was one of the moments when I didn't have to think about what colours I was going to choose or mix, I just smudged the tones I liked on the canvas and that was it.

And I find this painting describes perfectly my feelings of the past couple of weeks. Those dark clouds, and a strong enough wind, but then again sun shining through the clouds and the colourful reflection of a bit of a dull sea... sounds like me pretty alright.

The photo of the painting is so poor, though. The colours look so much more blazing in real life. But eh, I guess it is never possible to get a perfect photo of a painting.

But yeah. I still have two canvases left, not sure what I'm going to do with them. But before I can start painting again, I need to refresh my oil set with a couple of colours and buy some new brushes. The new oil paint thinner I'm using has eaten away half of them.

Oil on 30x30cm canvas board. Time spent about 5 hours.
