This has a delicious Sin City vibe with the splash of color, and of course, the strong, deadly woman defending herself from evil.
She also looks strong, without losing an ounce of femininity.

In fact, going with the Sin City analogy for a moment more, if you'll forgive me, she looks like the gunslinger that Robert Rodriguez' sister Patricia Vonne played in that movie.

The author and I both enjoyed sin city, it was very over-the-top. But this story is time period wise, very removed from anything close to sin city
