Ok, Ok ... the title might be a little misleading.
This is a pic of a protea; the national flower of South Africa. I was at a protea farm some time ago and took a few shots. I narrowed the pics down to two, but had a hard time deciding which one to submit. This was the winner.
Intentional blur at the edges for ` bookdiva . And *nrgizrbuni , this is what I did before you got there.

Funky flower! I coulds spend hours looking at this, there's just so many little details with all the fluffy bits and the different colours and all the parts of the flower at different distances.
Love how you've managed to get a good depth of field so that the majority of the flower is in focus yet the background isn't too distracting.
