Description The cold wind blew between his pelt, but the small-sized cat proceeded forward, his aching belly his only motivation. Three days without food or water, his fur had grown dull, and his tail dropped against the murky floor, wiping the dust away with it.
The endless thunderpath went on beside him, as he tried to dodge the passing two-legs, no longer afraid of their presence. What could be worse than having to live on the streets, undertaken and beaten constantly by bigger cats, and having your only alive family member reject you and hate you? Ankit's father was one of the most gruesome murderer on the streets, and every cat feared him. He hated his son, for what? Ankit had no idea. that's why he hid away from sight.
Ankit shook his head as the wound on his shoulder ached. His belly rumbled and a cough escaped his mouth. He must be catching a cold.
His wide blue eyes caught sight of a small mouse, scurrying on the other side of the thunderpath. The sight of it made his mouth water, and his tiny paws held him up the last few feet across the thunderpath. He crouched low, instincts kicking in. He crawled towards the mouse silently, and as he was about to pounce a large shadow swept over him, and the mouse scurried away. Ankit angrily turned around, his claws unsheathed. He looked up as he readied himself to attack anything that had waste his last chance of survival, when something hit him like a shock.
He was suddenly swept from his paws, and flying in the air. He fell down with a thud and looked up weakly. Over him stood a large gray-black figure, claws unsheathed and jaws bared. The scent of blood and death tingled at his muscular and scarred body, making Ankit shiver. At first, he was unaware of who the large cat was, and hissed painfully at him.
But as his shivering eyes looked up, the much-too-familiar torn ear hit him like a thorn. Standing there, right there over him, was his own father, Claw.
Ankit's heart lurched, as blood began to rush through his ears. Claw gave a menacing yowl, as he took a step forward.
"W-What do you want from m-me?" Ankit whispered, as his eyes stung with tears and his shoulder ached. His father sniffed the air and lashed his tail.
"You're much bigger than i had thought you were. I thought you were as scrawny as a rat. I can smell your fear scent, its intriguing me to get this over with..." Claw smirked darkly as his claws scraped the ground. Ankit hissed and looked down. He was a hopeless case against his father.
"Get it over with then," he mewed, sounding like a kit.
"Look at yourself! Your a kit! A worthless, stupid kit! I was right not to trust in you... you were just as un-important as i thought you were!" His father growled mockingly.
Ankit looked up with eyes filled with tears, as suddenly a large paw jabbed his side and lifted him up. Before Ankit could move, razor-sharp teeth embedded at his spine, and he was fling in the air onto the side of the thunderpath. He could feel cold blood rushing out of the wound, as he lay still on the ground.
His father rounded up on him and glared at him.
"Are you just going to lie there? Are you no better than a kitty-pet!" His father yowled as he smacked him again across his muzzle and chest. Ankit made no effort of moving, his eyes were dazed with tears. "Who would have guessed you turned out just like your mother, frail and weak. Useless."
Suddenly, Ankit felt a tug of will at his paws. How dare he insult Ankit's mother like that?'She was Claw's mate! she loved him! Ankit's eyes raged open, as heΒ Β suddenly felt strong. He lifted himself fraily to his paws, and looked his father straight in the eye.
"Im not weak. You are. The only reason you kill weaker cats is to feel more power, when actually, you are the kitty-pet!" Ankit felt a menacing yowl at his throat, as he hauled himself up at his father's neck, grasping it with long sharp claws.
At that, all hell seemed to break loose.
Claw thrashed around, and smashed Ankit repeatedly at the cold thunderpath ground. Ankit felt the cold earth scrape at his pelt, but now he had no other choice but to give fight. Claw yowled as he flung Ankit off, and put his paws on Ankit's now limp body.
Ankit felt claws scratch his fur, and blood dripping out like pools, but all he did was stare at his father's shaky eyes. He felt his body go limp and numb, as he struggled to breathe.
"I'm not useless, you are. And you are NOT my father!" Ankit rough meow broke through the air.
Claw gave an angry tug of his claws at ankit, as blood dripped his pelt.Ankit felt static suddenly, as everything around him went white, and his heavy, numb body suddenly felt light and glowing. Ankit shook his head, and suddenly he saw himself, lying down on the floor beneath his father's Claws. He was watching himself from above!
He took one last look, as he felt wind and light tug at his paws to move on, but one tiny thing caught his eye.
A tiny wet drop fell from Claw's eye, as he removed his claws from his sons dead body. He gave a silent wail, as he turned and padded away.
