Description
A lovely green painting of a forest-creature, that I also made to bring and show at J-popcon. I intended to sell it, but I like the colors so much I think I'm keeping it. At least until I grow tired of it.
It has real dried leaves glued onto the canvasboard for texture - I love how it turned out - I may try doing that again.
Media used: Acrylics on canvas, dried leaves, scanned and touched up in Corel Photopaint 9.

Hey, I've seen a similar piece here on DA, 2 years ago. Might have been DigitalBlasphemy dot com. At any rate, it was waaaaay tooooo similar....I know fo' sho' as this was my favorite wallpaper. Except it was computer generated or airbrushed. Soon as I find it, I'll post the link to it.

You've probably heard this already, but she reminds me of teh nature spirit from Fantasia 2000. Not that that's a bad thing. I think she's just beutiful, and the addition of real leaves is a stroke of artistic genius. I can see why you don't (didn't?) want to part with this one so easily.

She kind of does, I know. I don't think I'd seen Fantasia 2000 at the time, though.
I did eventually part with it, but for a good purpose - it became a birthday present for a treasured friend. ,)

Woah (probably not the first person to say this), this is soo gorgeous. The green shades are brilliant, the hair is windy and the leaves seem to stand out of the painting, but I love the eyes most.

this is so cool, theres so much color yet u only used green (well maybe a bit yellow and black too.. but u know what i mean LOL)
the eyes are extremely well, theres a lot of emotion in those eyes but i do feel a little that there to far from eachother.. but u can deny that critisism caus its a very nice piece
