Description Upon reaching the top of the mountain, two weary travelers gazed upon the beautiful lush valley below.  Covered in tall grassland and numerous pine trees, the younger of the two, an adventurous pine marten, pointed at the river and followed its curving path through the landscape, sighting the distant road and occasional ships from distant lands.  He then stopped upon the thing which brought them and hundreds more here.  A place that they would have guessed to be myth for there stood a shining monolith of metal as tall as the mountains themselves.   No beast knows where it came from, or who built it.  Many theories existed about gods and demons, and just as many feared it as much as those that worshipped it despite its eerie silence over countless years.  But all shared a common respect and curiosity for the mysterious edifice, and so in recent memory began settling at its base, attracting all sorts of beasts who sought knowledge and opportunity from it.

The two who now see it for the first time were unlike most, however.  The younger sought a life full of excitement away from his home village and had already partook in several such adventures with his older companion, who was as mysterious as the distant tower.  The sergal spoke little of himself and seemed to have nowhere to go but as a tag along who, in his view, the marten owed a life debt to at least twice.  However, he did not expect to find a friend in this strange land, seeing no others of his kind and no beast knew what he even was.

After a moment of reflection and perhaps a quirky comment about what lies ahead, the travelers who are loyal to none but each other, take their first steps towards the shining beacon that may change the history of not only themselves, but perhaps of all things.

---

Well then, this took me a whole two days to complete and it is a lot of firsts and experimentation for me.  First full blown drawing with my first sergal with an actual background drawn in a different style than usual.  It's not as great as I imagined but I do find it to be one of the best I've done and a good learning experience.

And that little scene I described for it is a little something I imagined for a while and is what inspired the drawing.  Anyway, I hope to make more like this, and perhaps write a story based on it since I kind of enjoyed writing those three measly paragraphs.
