This came out of the blue...
Yes, he's a villain... Yes, he tried to kill everyone else... Yes, he has an army of minions willing to do his bidding... Still.The little guy has also a softer side... a hidden side and a special feeling for some of his Acolythes... even is they blew it up against the Sailor Scouts.
He realizes that having his allies on a confortable situation, more than simple pawns will earn their undiyng devotion. As I'm sketching the final episodes of the Acolythes some of them will go out without a cool speech, while other will express their undying trust and regrect not being able to help him achieve his goals.
I don't want to give him just the cartoonish aproach of a villain, but to make him a little more human with more feelings and a complex personality...

Al darle diseΓ±o y colores a los personajes buscamos entre las paletas disponibles para cada uno de ellos. Desde el principio Ookami y Tenshi tuvieron esos colores (verdes y azules); hubo un poco de problemas con hinomi, pues de darle ojos ambarinos hubiera quedado muy rara asΓ que nos fuimos con el contraste azul a su cabello. Por su parte Shiro/Caerentus fue el ΓΊltimo en recibir sus colores... Y el resultado final es este, y queda bastante bien.

I agree that villains should never be unidimensional... but I can't help thinking he's up to something, lol.
I do think the colour makes a big difference... ok, maybe the red background still makes him look pretty evil and up to no good, but the light makes a big difference^^

Yep, I pruposedly gave thin that sliver of light to make a tiny contrast to his usual grim and dark colors, and it works just fine, I believe.
