here we have Idol, chosen vessel to the power of Obatala, a protector spirit (Orisha) - who placed a fraction of his soul into a golden idol passed down to the Yoruba people, eventually finding its way into the British Museum in London - when a young Moses Murphy came into contact with the object, the spirit of Obatala flowed through him granting him the powers of the Idol - superstrength, invunerability, flight, and other as yet unrevealed powers - which he uses to combat the forces of evil and to inspire a new generation to follow in his footsteps towards a better world
