Hyperrealism is fun!Had to take a photograph because the scanner devoured like 87% of the color spectrum. Hence the shitty dark background .__.

Wow. OwO. It is really surprising how you can make something so simple, seem in depth and beautiful. The shading is accurate and is in all the right places, the droplets of water adorn the red cherry perfectly and the stem curves up and ends in a unique way. I love how you enhanced the background with the shading (though I know it is kid of vital) and the photo is taken in a good angle where the lighting looks good. Unlike other 'cherry' artworks around dA, this one is one of the few that don't give off the 'cute' vibe. You have a great camera in your iPhone. Caught the wonderful CP work and the paper texture nicely. Yeah I hear you about scanners. They like to eat colors, add "scanner pox" to the image, etc. They're such a joy. But a necessary evil. Though you got around it well with this image.

thank you! and yea, scanners can be bitches.... especially when they do not only swallow colors but also distort the remaining ones to a point where your drawing looks nothing like the original anymore -sighs-

It does read/sound similar to cherry plus the visual of your tasty artwork suggests this possibility too.Β
