We were sitting outside for a garage sale and our first shopper stopped in, he may have been acting as a protector to make sure the stranger wouldnt hurt us, lol. such a sweety.

I like it! From a photographers point of view I would wish for a slightly wider DOF to extend the area of acceptable sharpness to the eyes.
I really like the pose - do you mind if I use that image as a reference for drawing practice?

Yes me too, lol. This is the first day I got my new camera and I was still playing around with it. This is still one of the only decent captures I have been able to get of him! stubborn pup!
I don't mind if you use as a reference for drawing! if you end up uploading your drawing tag me so I can see it! ^_^

I love it when people shoot portraits of animals and capture the same level of personality as a photo of a human. There's such dignity and kindness in this beautiful face

Thank you! I'm so glad you like it! He definitely is full of personality and typically doesn't sit still long enough to capture a good shot. I got extremely lucky he was being distracted when I took this!
