This is a photograph I took of The Monkey King--- a character in a play that was put on by the Beijing Opera when they came to cleveland. For anyone that has never seen a chinese opera before, do try and see one.. its quite an amazing experience... and its absolutly nothing at all like the western version of the opera. The chinese interpret the word 'opera' as meaning a group of works. So essentially, each member of the opera is able to sing, act, perform acrobatics etc.. so its incredible. As for the actual manipulation of the photograph, I applyed a dark strokes effect to the raw photograph... cheers
