Started drawing this as a style exercise a couple days ago, trying to make myself draw Herla differently than I normally do, then after Neela got in trouble today it seemed especially perfect so it got commandeered for that purpose. Wanted to draw a Gehirn in there too but my Gehirn drawing ability seems to have withered and died. Along with any attempt at a background. >.>Neela can’t talk. But she’s very expressive none the less.

Does she? She has matured quite a lot of late, and I've been trying to reflect that in how I draw her now. Having five children might do that to any woman. XD
I certainly don't think she's elderly yet though, poor Herla being called old, the horror!

Oh? Well how a character ages is certainly up to the player and how they perceive their creation. And while I find it of course reasonable to assume she will age just as her children and family age, I doubt I will be calling her “elderly” by any means. Things don’t directly translate from a deer to a human form but personally I see her being in her early 30’s at this point. Even if she reaches her 40’s when her daughters mature, I’d hardly call that elderly. But being 37 myself, I might have a different opinion on the matter than someone of younger age.

Eh, make sense. However, deer don't last as long as humans do and their adult range is much shorter. Seeing as how her two first born have been adults for over a year, I'd consider her to be nearing that time.

I'm pretty sure Sighthoundlady can age her character however she wants. Especially considering she lives in a ~magical~ forest and isn't an actual deer. It's starting to sound like you're trying to tell her what to do. There is no opinion to have here. If Sight considers Herla a certain age, then she is that age. Imagine a stranger coming up to you telling you "Hey in my opinion you're about 50." whilst you're 20 years old. Bit weird.

No, not at all. I'm just saying how I see it is all. Don't go assuming what I'm insinuating here, stranger, without knowing my intent. So what if someone thinks I'm 50? Let them think what they want to.

Though I still personally think she looks elderly now DX I am not saying that in a bad way though, and I am not saying she IS elderly; it is only my personal view of her as of now with her new older-looking designing and her history. Looks and personality wise as she has changed, she almost looks around 50 or 40. But that's just my opinion and stuff. I still love Herla doe nonetheless.

Thanks! Pretty hard for me to make myself draw in a cartoony stylized way and then call it "finished" I feel like it's incomplete somehow, which is annoying, I love cartoony styles and envy those that seem to wield the style with such finesse.
