I ADORE the end when you see John as a ghost taking the piss outta Hougen! I love how, even though he's dead, he's STILL just plain badass. I think that if Hougen had fought John one-on-one and John hadn't been beaten up, He'd have beaten Hougen easily. What about you?

God, I don't know... GDW, the manga AND the anime, have both kind of seemed to have forgotten all about GNG and what it was about...with Gin at least. I would've thought Gin could've taken Hougen down in less than a second. I guess it was because he was beat up by all those dogs before Hougen took him hostage, but still. He also seemed kind of....stupider in GDW. He could beat John as a kid though so I don't think John would really have a chance at Hougen. I think it would be a long battle but Hougen would still win, though I can't explain how that makes Weed stronger...I hated how in GDW Weed just seems to inharite his strength from Gin, while when Gin was younger than him had to go through various training and crap, you know? While Weed didn't do anything. Like when Weed was able to jump across than gorge thing like his father did, that I thought that was really gayass...then after Mel did it and then GB and even Smith it seems as long as you have spirit you can do anything which is not the case in real life

hehehe, yeah I know exactly where you're coming from, and I think if they weren't beaten up, both Gin and John could have beaten him in a fair fight, maybe even Akame, but he's older than both of them. I also think they made Gin and John far too weak in GDW because in GNG both were fully trained, badass, well muscled guys. It just doesn't happen that they suddenly become all weak and frail and shit, and it ruined it. Becaue if you remember, Gin fought loads of dogs far too good for him and still won, and so did John. I think it's pathetic how Gin triumphed and was so much smarter in GNG and how John lost to no dog but Riki in GNG, and yet that cowardly pussy Hougen breaks them so easily. I think if Riki was in GDW Hougen would've been dead SO fast hehe, no matter how old Riki would have been, Hougen would be destroyed ^^

Yeah really, aren't they like 14 years old in GDW? Gin anyway. John has to be even older than that and Akame older! And Ben too, they should be dead....It's a mircle they're all even still alive. I think seven years later would've been more appriate. Maybe it's because they're so old they're so freaking weak, but still. Gin was just so different....
