Finally, a realistic character portrait :3 This is Dragon, he's old now!About 7 hours in Photoshop CS with a wacom bamboo tablet
So this is a realism portrait, but this character is supposed to have an interesting physique, large and almost bear like. Think I pulled that off?
Dragon is copyright to me, as well as the artwork and you may not use this image(as well as all images in my gallery) for ANY purpose what so ever. This includes roleplay characters!! As he, is mine.

To kick things off I would like to point out the sheer quality of the fur, excellent to say the least. I am not even able to count the number of hairs before loosing focus, THIS IS A GOOD THING!!
Anywho, the scars are very real in the sense that you can tell when they where received, based on the form and Color of the tissue. All though I do not know the background of the character dipicted here, I think it would be a better choice to have the newer scars and scabs on the ears rather than the facial region as the ears are more commonly hurt during battle; they protrude from the main body of the wolf.
Warning, immense nitpicking: If am not mistaken, the scabs on the nose should be a darker tint than the other scabs, and the teeth sticking out at the front of the muzzle should be located more to the right for more accurate anatomy.
In the end you have an astonishing piece of work here, and you should be PROUD!

Thank you!! I had wanted to do another layer of fur just to give it a bit more depth, but alas I was tired of working on it! So I am very glad you like it! I do agree, I believe the scars on the muzzle should be darker, but I chose to go with lighter tones as they were not very noticeable when I originally did them in darker tones, and this is a distinguishing feature of that character. And thank you for pointing out the ear scars, I do believe you are correct on that also and I will have to keep that in mind! His Canine tooth should be more to the right? I did think it looked quite out of place.. My main reference for him was a grizzly bear though, i have to admit lol, and I tweaked the muzzle quite a bit. Thank you so much for this wonderful critique! I will keep all of this in mind
