What's sloppy about it? I'm actually worried that I can't see what you've done wrong. D:

I should try to do one of these turnaround thingies too sometimes. Looks like it could help to improve... but meh. xD
Also, I have to say, that's a pretty cool cat. I like its pear-like anatomy.

someone could make a gif out of that so it rotates haha :3
Or someone could 3D model it now.

Cool. I never thought about doing turntable like pieces like this. Good idea for concept. I should try this. Thanks!

Well yeah I figured. I never really thought of it as a research thing. I kind of just assumed most artists kind of worked out how their characters looked from all sides in their head. But putting it on paper seems to be the best thing to do. I see turntables in 3D stuff all the time. I just never really thought about applying it to 2D.

This looks awesome! Part of me wants to just go ahead and draw other characters to fit in that "WW1" idea that someone posted earlier. I've already got an image in my head of a dog that represents the Americans and a fox that represents the Germans. Just need animals to go with Austria-Hungary, Russia, France and Italy...

Very impressive
Reminds me of the 1st opening of Bleach with the camera spinning around Ichigo Kurosaki. Wonder if the concept would work the same with 10 frames at 25fps, each frame being .03 seconds.

I love that you stlll angle the ears and goggles on the profile in order to prevent the character from being flat. Although I like them all, I'm partial to the 3/4 rear because it makes the lil guy look more curious rather than slightly shocked. Also, as slight as it is, it has the widest head and ears (which means it's cuter, right?)
Great stuff, as always, Sibsy! I'm looking forward to more!

Nice turn around here.
The ones that I do are often for 3D, so they are treated differently. One trick that I found out is to overdo the guides (lines that help you construct the next view) or, make the turn animated in photoshop. It is a heck of an extra work, but depending on the complexity of the character, it might be necessary. (and a good exercise to weaken my spatial dislexya)
