Now for a great character from the DC Universe for my Leading Ladies series.
With the upcoming Justice League movie, Hawkgirl is a great character and one of the favorites from the Justice League cartoon a few years ago. She is pretty fearless, strong willed, and sometimes a little headstrong in battle. She is a great team player and knows her battle tactics and strategies very well. With her wings powered by the Nth metal she wears she can take flight anywhere and adds to her strength in battle. She usually carries around a mace, but is formidable with all weaponry. She is a great hand to hand fighter and doesn't back down from anyone including Batman or Hawkman.
Whether she is portrayed as Shayera Hol or Kendra Saunders, Hawkgirl should be part of the Justice League so that the female characters can be represented well in the movie.

Evangeline Lilly is the most natural choice to me to portray Hawkgirl. Others may disagree and that's fine. She is one of the most beautiful women on screen and is well recognized from the ABC series Lost. She also was in the movie Real Steel with Hugh Jackman and really flexed her action muscles as Tauriel in the last two Hobbit moves as one of the lead Elves alongside Legolas. She's pretty lethal with her bow and arrow (look out Oliver Queen), sword, and knives. And again with her red hair she had, she looks perfect for Shayera or her natural brown would looks good for Kendra.
Physically and with her acting skills she would really make the fans happy as Hawkgirl flying around on the big screen.
