Oh Bats is in charge, except when Clark manipulates him in not so sneaky ways.
Conner's creation was an extreme violation of Clark's privacy and basic rights, so I can totally see why he's so freaked out. But it is hilarious when Bruce, of all the people in the known universe, is the better parent. I saw a tag on tumblr that was something to the effect of "Taking parenting advice from Bruce Wayne is like reading a book on apples to learn how oranges taste." Accurate.

Ohhhh Clark, very secretly devious >:3
OH MY GOD, I KNOW! It's the most ironic thing in the history of DC anything's. Like, I love Bruce Wayne with all my heart, really I do. But his parenting can suck on some seriously intense levels (ex. JASON FUCKING TODD <3 and Damian, for that matter). That's hilarious, excuse me while I search for it for three hours. But like, Bruce's parenting can result in some pretty awesome guys, like Dick Grayson is arguably one the best person of the DC universe, granted, this is partially due to his own parents, but like Dick is always saying what a huge profound impact Bruce has had on him. And Tim's okay. LOL, not a fan but he's a good enough guy. And Damian's pretty ferocious and adorable

Yeah, Bruce's parenting methods are far from the best. His obvious failures are Jason and Damian. With Jason, he was so self righteous. He was convinced that if he didn't step in, then Jason would become a criminal. Shows what you know, Bruce. He becomes a priest in an alternate reality. And then with Jason coming back, there were just so many negative feelings that absolutely no one in the entire Bat Family handled well. And with Damian, ugh. Bruce is too gruff and too absorbed with his own problems to be a good parent to Damian. That's why I wish so much that Damian had stayed with Dick. Dick was having such a huge and positive impact on the kid. With Tim, well, Tim had his own parents for so long (until he's sixteen, I think), that Bruce was more mentor than anything else. Not to say the influence wasn't huge. With Dick, I think Dick is Bruce's favorite. The favoritism is pretty heavy there. The parallels between the way Bruce and Dick lost their parents are I think why Bruce favors him. Also, he's the first Robin, etc. But the difference between Dick and Bruce is that Dick is so much more emotionally healthy, even after watching his parents die. I mean, obviously, he's angry and hurt about it, and he falls into the vigilante lifestyle, but for Dick, it's about protecting people and making sure that no one else ever suffers the way he did. With Bruce, it's revenge. Dick didn't have his own parents for much longer than Bruce did, so I don't think that's the reason he eventually handles it better. Nor is it because Dick had Bruce to lean on afterwards as a new father figure. Bruce had Alfred (and come on. We all know Alfred is the best anywhere ever). They're just very different people at their cores, for all that Bruce does have the biggest influence on Dick's life. As for Steph, Bruce certainly had an influence on her, but I'm glad it wasn't so much of a parental one and that that mentor role was felt more heavily with Babs. Not at all that I didn't like Steph as a Robin, but she was just so wonderful as Batgirl.
Oh look, some Robins feelings. Where did those come from?

Yeah, I completely agree with all sentiments. Like, with Jason I'm still disgusted that Bruce was so self-dignified over that, and saying that was the only reason that he took him in was to prevent him from become a future enemy. But like, with Damian it's inexcusable. Like, he's a ten year old kid and the molding potential is still there, like I always feel like Bruce is writing him off as this little "al Ghul" baby that's an liability to him, because he always has to look over his shoulder and make sure Damian hasn't killed anyone. But like, he doesn't have the whole "morality" thing coded into him. And he sort of regards (although he's been *much* better in the recent Batman & Robin comics) him as Talia's son, rather than his own kid with feelings >:[ . And with Dick I feel like he realizes that he's still this 10 year old kid with emotions and he wants to be accepted by his dad, like the biggest thing for me was when Damian told Talia he'd rather have them all stay together like, HELLO, he's a baby! It frustrates me SO MUCH Bruce hasn't even remotely showed love toward Damian *at all*. Like, and then the understanding parent goes off to get some action in the circus -_-. I was unamused.
Dick, oh I love him so much. He really is like the best possible version of Bruce, like I don't remember where I saw it but Dick was saying how the big difference between him and Bruce was that Bruce buried his compassion inside him, and Dick didn't. Like, Dick does what he does for the people and Bruce does it for the sake of the mission...Well, I don't know it's a complicated concept like I don't really know how to explain it. . But with Dick's background the huge thing I feel like was that Bruce was the son of a billionaire, and he was kind of myopic as a kid since he was so wealthy, so when his parents died like his world was completely *shattered* like, he was thrown into a world he was completely unfamiliar with which kind of broke him (or severely damaged him). And with Dick, he was raised in the circus, and had a much more healthy perspective on life. Like, with regards to being Robin/Nightwing/Batman (more so Nightwing) he knew how to balance work and play from being in the circus (like he said that in some Nightwing thing...I don't remember where ). Jason's entire...Robin-hood (lol, no pun intended) frustrates me immensely. Tim I can't say much on, nor on Stephanie, like they're well off, sometimes Tim unsettles me very deeply and makes me want to fucking slap his face off, but all in all I think they were more raised by their own parents than by Bruce...But Bruce of course had an extremely profound impact on them, of course. But, I've spent many a day over-analyzing Dick, Damian and Jason. .
To go on record- ALFRED IS THE SHIT. Like, everyone in the Batfamily would be lost without Alfie.
So many emotions -_-
