I watched the first 2 episodes about a week ago and I just had to draw something ^^I love how they depict the bending differently for every bender
(like how Korra's style is so rough and physical compared to Aang's which was flowing and (imo)- way more awesome)
I sense character development~ ^^

Hehe.. yea, I know about the torso issue, but I couldn't find a clever way to fix it (plus I kinda liked the way it looked) so I just kept it that way ^^

Now, as for your drawing, The best thing about it (in my very humble personal opinion) is her expression. I mean the colors, as always, are perfect but I've decided to stop commenting on that because it's ALWAYS perfect. So I'll only comment on the colors if they're REALLY exeptional. Anyway, as I was saying, her expression is so perfectly Korra. You managed to capture her personality perfectly. Her hair is also really nicely done and so is her pose.
Now, the ONLY thing that bugs me about this drawing is her torso. It seems too stretched out and her stomach looks too long and her hips too small. Actually, the hips might not be a problem. Not sure about that because the torso slightly throws off the proportions.

I can't tell you the number of times I tried to bend stuff after watching an episode..

Aaaaanyways-
I actually did notice the torso thing..!
But I wasn't sure how to fix it, since the anatomy was technically correct (now that I think about it, it was probably her waist-leather-cloth-thing that's starting too low.. I dunno)
In any case, I kinda started to like the elongated torso so I kept it, buuuut.. I suppose I might try and visit that again in the future. maybe. no promises.

You're not alone! My brother and I used to have bending battles after watching that! HAHAHA. I mean.....wow...you pretended you can bend?
I really hope that The Legend of Korra's as amazing as ATLA was. The characters in ATLA were amazing so I hope they have adequate characters here.
I think it might be the brown thing but if you like the torso, leave it.

The water looks a little thick, like paint but otherwise is done quite nicely. The pose, the colouring, the expression all work together fantastically.
