i've walked down humboldt and north so many times
i don't think that after this picture i'll be able to look at this intersection the same way

ha, it is a pain.
most of my friends are in riverwest, & the ones who do live on the east side usually come to riverwest.
but the few times i do go to see them, i wish i had a car or a bike or something other then walking.

Everyone loves/hates Milwaukee....... But, I miss it from up here in Toronto.... Maybe a different story if I was still there................ The storm fits North Ave to a T. I lived over on Bremen while in college and walked home up that street far too many times.....

I'm down here in IL and I'm missing Milwaukee.
But I think it's more of the people I left behind up there...
and not the city itself.

To me this is like the aftermath of the phrase "the calm before the storm". I see these dark clouds covering bright fluffy high contrast clouds - the painted lines going through the crosswalk, and the perfect placement of the stoplights... I just notice so much about this picture, and it's like a visual emotion. That's why I faved it in the first place. I just couldn't think of how to say it then, without sounding dumb.. so I +faved before commenting.

this is fantastic! the stormy lighting is great, but the cinematography of that sky just knocked me right out of my socks.
