Description "Dance is a delicate balance between perfection and beauty."

Here comes my part of a little art trade with .
It's my vision of her Neverwinter Nights character Frédérique Rosed'argent.
Frédérique is a bard and a gifted dancer. Sometimes you really can't tell, whether she is fighting or dancing, whether her rapier or her smile is the weapon you have to beware of ...


My inspiration has been *Amaethil 's own portrait of her:

I had some difficulties to really catch her unique half-elven face - and I changed her hairstyle a bit - but I hope you like her nonetheless.

That looks perfect. Honestly, I've been staring at all those intricate details for five minutes now - the way the fabric is flowing is just wow. Also, I simply love her pose and that subtle cunning smile on her face - fits the character really well, I think.
All in all, wonderful work with this one!

Actually I'm just right now editing the picture (my laptop will be busy rendering the next one and a half hour , because I chose the wrong eye-color for her. Amaethil told me yesterday that Fred's eyes are green.
As I'm not smart enough to to a simple editing in Gimp or so, I spent almost 15 minutes to browse my DAZ library for a really smaragd-green iris to apply and for some nice looking reflections. It will take the renders process another ten minutes to deal with the hair (it works from the top to the bottom of a picture) and to "reveal" the results of my work.

Waaa I like her attitude and cloth <3 Her hair style is perfect too !

Her nose is strange to me, but I won't complain because it's much more than the trade was supposely. >< I'll have work to do to draw something that will not be half beautiful as this !! I'll do my best for sure !

Her nose is the part of the image, I'm most proud of. (Here's a little close-up: [link] ) It's ... unique.

Creating Frédérique was fun for me as well as a good training. I tried out a lot of different poses, face, costumes and backgrounds - only to discover a simple truth: "Less is More".
Don't worry about your part of the deal. I'll never stop envying people like you, who use their own hands to draw or paint - instead of a computers cpu, like me.

Ich glaube, es sind nicht unbedingt nur die Figuren, die besser werden. Es eher das "Drumherum", mit dem ich mich in letzter Zeit mehr beschäftigt habe. Bei "Sixty Seven" habe ich zum ersten mal mit Tiefenschärfe und Schattenwürfen herumexperimentiert. Und hier habe ich mal ein etwas anderes (ziemlich viel Render-Zeit fressendes) Beleuchtungsmodell ausgewählt.
Mach' Dir keine Sorgen wegen Alistair. Er bekommt noch, was er verdient. (Bei ihm probiere ich auch wieder etwas Neues aus.)

Was Neues ist immer schwierig, aber man ist dann so stolz drauf. (Kenn ich vom Stricken )

True, true. I prefer two-way portals so you can re-appear again... wearing gold-plated chainmail.

Still, one of the selling points of Faerûn is the pantheon of real gods. This would be one cold universe if we are just biological machines.
