I think perhaps some more reflective light from surfaces near the lightsource would give the scene more depth and form. Like, make that red reflect off a little stronger on her skin and maybe her sock-things, and slightly on the book pages too because they're so close! Gotta watch how you control value to create dimension!
This is an awesome panel, and I love your color choices. It just doesn't quite look complete, but for all I know I could just be looking at a WIP and wasting my energy typing what you already know.

I don't think so, really. I mean, just a little edge lighting wouldn't hurt, but then again I don't know anything about the deadlines you're working on. I just got out of a painting class with a teacher who drilled that into my head, so I thought I'd put that out there. =\
It's looking great, though. A strong choice of colors often speaks for itself, and I think that subtle blue really brings out the scene.
