Description

Nothing else within the arsenal of the Mandalorian Warriors inspired more disdain, loathing, and dread from the Jedi Knights and the Republic’s forces at large than the MandalMotors Lictor-class dungeon ship, namely because of what it was equipped with. Entire sections were sequestered off from where the bulk prisoner population was berthed, those of which could adjust the lighting, heating/cooling, atmospheric pressure, and even the gravity to hamper the efforts of even the most determined would-be escapee. Floor-plating could be made conductive and deliver electrical shock, hallucinogenic gases pumped in through the vents, and painful sirens activated to add to the prisoners’ further discomfort and disorientation. With respect to any Jedi that the Mandalorians managed to capture, they were confined in specialized holding cells that were lined with beskar to prevent lightsaber cutting/piercing, and enhanced life support controls added that could force them into hibernation for the duration of their journey.

The ship itself had fail-safes to prevent prisoner revolt, namely the incorporation of a series of networked blast-doors controlled remotely to prevent swift migration to crucial areas of the Lictor, such as engineering and/or life support. The navigational computer was also limited to two sets of hyperspace jump coordinates, typically from where the prisoners were being on-loaded and the final destination; if additional sets were required, the ship would have to dock and receive them manually. If these measures failed, the lower command module could detach from the rest of the Lictor, containing an emergency propulsion system and supplies.

Despite its service to the opposition during the Clone Wars, the success of the Lictor-class would inevitably result in its reproduction under license by Rendili StarDrive, and notoriously revisit its role under the Galactic Empire, transporting what few Jedi Knights were apprehended alive to specialized remote prisons, never to be seen again.
