This looks better in person.. :'3

Materials used:
Prismacolored pencils
Charcoal (too lazy to remember which kind)

Note: The Japanese is SUPPOSED to say A Cold City.. but I'm not skilled in the art of Japanese just yet sooo... >.>

Also, your work is phenomenal, there's something...I don't generally like this word but your stuff's an exception__there's something...modern about it, but also something very antique and gorgeous. I love how the black transitions into her hair. Your use of color to direct focus is mind-stomping. It's excellent.

Wow..thank you so much. You're one of the first people to actually give me a reason as to why they like my work.

As for the modern feel you're getting, I was kind of going for that. I don't know, I just love to use a modern female look and at least try to make a somewhat old time horror movie aspect from it. :/

To me this is just felt very kabuki, but it does have that sort of black and white horor film quality to it.
Like a blood-hungry Anna Wong.

Yeah, I see what you mean there. And I'm glad you showed those pictures to me, they definitely have a sort of quality about them that I try to go for in my art, I feel kind of ashamed that I never found them before. XD

One word: Fritzlang.

He directed the first ever science fiction, 'Metropolis', [link] and the first ever psycho-thriller 'M'.

In addition there's also an amazing anime inspired by the Fritzlang movie inspired by the novel:

I'm not sure I'm seeing this...you actually figured out how to make a cape billow behind a gif of yourself.

...I prostrate myself in the wake of your magesty.

I see now...see, your work was in some one's favorite gallery; and their profile icon was a GIF of themselves with a cape.

It billowed.

It was just this chibi J-rock head, with a cloak attached to it billowing in the wind in an incredibly comical manner.
