More sea monsters!This was the first piece in this new series, created for the This Just In collaborative art show, in Toronto, that I participated in last week. These were crazy fun to paint, and I'm looking forward to making more!

This is pure beauty. All the shades of blue convey a gorgeous, moonlit atmosphere-- the surface of the water and the underneath of it are perfectly distinct, making a beautiful scene to behold. I adore the clouds, and the little boat is a wonderful touch.

Thank you! I really loved making this one. It all came out of my head with no pre-planning -- just made it up as I went along. More often than not, that goes disastrously for me, but in this case, I was darned lucky! And the others in this series followed as a result!

It's three feet tall, by 6" wide.
I had this canvas for YEARS, but never seemed to come up with something that was the right composition to use on it. And then... one day...
