This drawing is a gift for my dear friend .

Dear Nick, once again I am so very sorry for not being able to give you a present on your birthday, which was on September 20th. Please, consider this additional gift as my attempt to make up for it.
We all know this year has been a very difficult and rough one for you and that it has not been treating you well. I would give anything if I could take all your pain, suffering, problems and depression away and give you the peaceful and truly happy life you deserve.
Please, just believe me when I tell you, you are loved. You are important, worthy, valid and you matter. You are so much stronger than you realize and you make this world a better place. All your true friends, including me, are happy to have you in their lives. You are a great friend, kind, intelligent, compassionate and loyal, and you deserve for every day of your life to be blessed, joyful and fillled with love, understanding and acceptance.
I love you, Nick, and so do all your true friends.

Since I absolutely adore your self-ship of your OC Rocky Metal with Fluttershy from MLP:FiM, I simply had to make this the theme of my present to you. You two are perfect for each other and I will never stop supporting this ship.
One completely new element I added into this drawing is the frame, which I made using Washi tape. It is a special form of decorative tape available in various colours and patterns, and can be used for multiple purposes, from decorating diaries and bullet journals to using it as a colouring medium. Recently I have bought one small package containing five Washi tapes of different colours, patterns and sizes, and simply could not wait for the first opporturnity to try using them in drawings. I must say that working with this medium has been a very pleasant experience so far, therefore I am sure I will be using it in the future as well.
I tried hard to make the picture as affectionate, pure, adorable and emotional as possible. I think the facial expressions came out decent.
All in all, I actually feel pretty satisfied with the result for once, but I still apologize for imperfections and if the drawing is too plain and simple...
Tools used: HB pencil, black ink pen, coloured pencils, Promarkers, 6B pencil, white gel pen, Washi tape.

I deeply hope you like this small present and that it warms your heart at least a little..
