Champion of Love and Justice!---
So you know that secret cosplay WAY back when that I like never got around to doing...
THIS IS IT!!!
Sailor Moon.
(Not the best first picture but it works, right?)
My childhood and first anime ever watched when I was like... 8?
I am so happy to be able to do this cosplay and I am so happy the way it turned out! I'm truly proud of it.
Everything you see was made by me.
The accessories and tiara are made from brass, craft foam backing, and other things. The pieces of the bodysuit all clip and come off for easy on and off and washing. The bow is made of satins and my skirt and sailor collar is baby satin (which is AMAZING and NOT shiny). I also went for the PINK and blue because... while re-watching the cartoon and re-reading the manga... it is pink? xD
I based this one off of the manga though my feather clips didn't work out so those still have to be done. <3
Overall I am the happiest girl when it comes to this costume.
She is coming with me to SakuraCon I think~

I'm going to be Small Lady (Chibiusa) on Friday afternoon/evening, and at some point, I'll be Super Sailor Moon (basing my images off of the Splash pages for skirt/collar reference, keeping old crimson red bow/gloves/boots). :3
Still need to order my wig though.

Friday I have a princess group in the works, so that evening I'll be Small Lady and I'm deciding between entering her into the costume contest or not. If I do then I'll be wearing that late Saturday afternoon/evening.
I'm not sure which day to wear Super Sailor Moon though! Since I kinda want to wear it for 90% of a day. ^.^

And yeah it does doesn't it? That's why I went with the manga more because it IS pretty much pink. Well at least that's what the cover looks like. LOL
Awesomely though, my pinks change red at night. LMFAO!! I tried taking photos of the progress and the shade was read.

Well in the anime I guess it's really red, but I already found a few mistakes in the anime, so yes follow the manga, it's healthier xD

And yeah. It changes so so much in the anime. It's pink then it's red. Then it's pink then i's red. I foun dthat when she stands next to Mars it really is lighter than red. >_<
And yes it is much healthier to go with the manga. Always. xD!!

Let me get the fangirl out first: OH MY GOSH YOU DID SAILOR MOON! SAILOR FREAKING MOON! I FREAKING LOVE THIS SHOW! IT WAS MY FIRST ANIME! MY MOST FAVORITE ANIME THAT TURNED ME INTO AN ANIME KNOW-IT-ALL! I FREAKING LOVE HER.
Now the real comment: This is REALLY good. I love how her skirt isn't shiny at all even though you used satin (amazing btw) and it's just the right size; not too short and not too long. I also like the fact that you went with the dark pink instead of red because in all honesty, I really think pink was the true hue of her bows and those ring like warmers on her gloves. I also adore the fact that your suit hugs you like nothing else. It's a brilliant cosplay...but I miss those pretty feather-and-pearl clips. And the wig is styled perfectly. Her strands that come out are curled JUST right at the end and that sells this outfit. Can't wait to see a body shot.

And yes I know I made them but the feather clips looked a bit odd. I made them with real feathers but something just looked off with them. Time to re-make! LOL
And yes totally a nice pink right? I mean mars is red, that is her color. No one is really pink except Chibi Usa. And hence the pink for mommy moon! xD

Yup, mars is red but Chibi is all...cutesy baby pink. The shocking pink is actually a better contrast to the blue in my eyes. It's more subdued and elegant than the blue and red...those are Sora colours somehow xD

I am so impressed! I'm hoping to do Sailor Uranus this year sometime (hopefully with a Neptune), and actually, seeing this inspired me to look through my stash of fabric, and I found that I can make it right now if I wanted. So maybe even Sakura-con if it goes well!
