‘I’m so sorry..’ (2 of 2)

A revisited, upgraded look at one of my more frequently requested TF slash arts.

The 2003 ‘I’m so sorry’ set that presented G1 Galvatron & Cyclonus was my first ever ... Yes I said, ‘My first’ ever attempt at anything involving CGI. Up until this time I had been a strict traditional mediums artist who ... um, .. *confesses* .. Well let’s just say I that I believed for many years that CGI was just a glorified way for one to cheat until my job began to require the use of it. I only had Adobe for about a little over 3 weeks and I swear I could not tell the difference between a layer and a brush. What’s worse is that I just could not figure out just how to go about applying colors without covering over top of my lines!

— Ha. It’s hilarious for me to admit to that now.

As a result, both Cyclonus and Galvatron in these two pictures were colored with a mix of Crayola markers (in the original. This new set has been revamped a bit with angle brushes) before I scanned them and gave my best amateur effort at layering --which is the whitish outline halo seen about them, btw; still seen even though these editions have been upgraded for 2007.

Much improved since or not, these remain a personal favorite of mine.

A completely foreign allure ... Some fans today view the episode as a showcase of weakness. But I still firmly recollect the first time I had ever laid eyes on G1 Season 3's ‘Webworld’ and this 12-year girl had been powerfully moved by it’s incredible emotion demonstrated between two Decepticons. I can say clearly that I didn’t know what ‘gay’ was, and ‘yaoi’ wasn’t in our vocabulary any more than ‘anime’ was yet. What I did I know for sure was how I had never seen anything quite like that before. Cyclonus’ painful cries for his leader’s safety move me just as much now as they did then ---I just had to wait for puberty to catch up for me to understand that ‘weird, sensation allure’ I had.
