While featuring a few 1987 variations of Sarterius when I decided to post up a bunch more of my classic drawings, I realized that I really hadn’t taken the ol’ General on in at least 2 years. O_0: And even then I was undecided about him yet! It was time for a much needed, much deserved update.General Sarterius (Sar-tur-e-us) — He’s the notorious, thundering green storm cloud slicing across the pages and chapters of the TF fiction, Metatisic: The First Saga. Ever and always suspicious, rarely forgiving, and never smiling, he’s Metatisic’s chief-general for every good (bad?) reason. Like a living bulwark, Sarterius’ presence commands attention, esteem, and even more sizeable volumes of fear from enemies and comrades alike.

X3 You'd be amazed of all the fangirls choosing the odd ones out there :3 but c'mon! who wouldn't like 'ol Sarterius? Big weapon, impressive battle damage, powerful and high ranking! perfect combination XDD and heck if you look at his overall looks... better then most 'cons I seen

That's one dinged up bulky looking fella.
The ultra-bulky look actually is not annoying like some artists'.

I try my best to avoid any unnecessary bulk and kibble. Mainly cause I just don’t believe that a transformer/robot needs this in order to be a great character. With Sarterius I was focusing more on that fact that he is a ancient era mech. He’s the classic ‘military hardware’, he doesn’t transform, and so to compensate he is the heavy clad gladiator you see before you.

Aahh. I havent read your story yet, or at least got that far in it (still close to the beginning) to know he does not transform. Well I guess the dents in his armor tell some of the tale of his battles.
