Sooo I colored it. I had no idea how I wanted to do it so I tried a different technique, especially since I'm coloring a different picture that way and it's more important than this one so I got some good practice in. Wow I can't write good sentences tonight. Either way, It was . . . like. I guess it ended up being really similar to the way I color, only kinda backward. It was really weird.In any case, here's Di. I'm pretty awesome at drawing geometric shapes in the background and using my photoshop grass to impress you! AHA!

why thank you very much! Really I have a layer of flats, and then a solid color shadow layer which is very dark and above the flats layer. then i put a mask on it and use black to "erase" revealing the flats underneath as highlights. you can change the color of the shadow layer later C: which is how i got the rainbow effect on the whites.
well that's not how i did THIS piece in particular, but that would be an easier way to get the same result.

the really impressive part about the photoshop grass is the random mound it mutated into 8D

Heh heh, ok. The angle. That line from his outstretched hand up to his head is nice, along with his clothing--so solid, I don't know of any other way to describe it XD. That and that stark contrast between his face, ears and hair.
