I'm not saying that your opinion is wrong! What I'm saying is that part of the problem with this fanbase is that no one can seem to agree on something, and they usually thrash each other until someone eventually emerges as victor!

It’s not about the picture, it’s about people honestly thinking that Sonic paired with Elise is cute in any way. It’s not, it’s gross; bestiality is NOT okay, the idea of any human being attracted to an animal is NOT okay. And I DO NOT like seeing it in fan art of some of my favorite things that happen to involve anthropomorphic animals. If this was a drawing of Sonic with Amy or Sally or Hell, even Shadow, then I’d be cool with it, but it isn’t so I’m not.
If there are three things I flat despise seeing in either fan art or fan fiction, it’s bestiality, pedophilia and incest. All three of these are immoral and just plain disgusting, and it upsets and disturbs me that fans think it’s okay enough to put into their fanworks. It’s not, it’s wrong, please stop or at the very least please don’t make it public knowledge that you’re in to that

There's no difference between this and Link and Mipha from Zelda Breath of the Wild. Simply having "The hedgehog" as a title (Which other characters don't use like Tails or Amy showing it's not something universal or what they are) doesn't make him a real life creature, it at most means his race is called hedgehog but that's because he's an alien man. He did not start off as, never was descended from, nor will he ever become an actual animal (Which, again doesn't mean what you think it means.)
Therefore SonElise is beautiful and a loving story about two Humans (People) (One Homo Sapien, the Other not) in love.

Sonic's not a beast. He's a Sapient Being. He's a Human Being inside of a fictional species. He's not actually a hedgehog, but an alien man that resembles one. The series makes this apparent in Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic Riders Zero Gravity, and Sonic Chronciles. He's a fellow man because his spirit is that of a Human. We'd still be people if we got turned into him and he'd still be a person if he got turned into us. He IS us. We ARE him. There is no difference between the two of us except the form God gave us. God still gave Sonic a Human Spirit (Which is what makes him a person as it's the only thing that allows you to be good or evil) which means he is one of us and we are one of them.
An animal is a life form that breathes. That's what the definition of it says. A human is a life form that breathes, therefore a human is an animal. You're calling him something that you and I are as well while trying to say that he's not a Being which is factually untrue. The form isn't what makes you a Man, the Spirit is. No matter how furry your body is if your spirit is Man (Meaning you are Human in what makes us people) then you're a Man and not a beast.
Anthropomorphism doesn't apply to alternate races of people. It applies to things like Scooby Doo or Lightning McQueen who are actual real life things with the ability to talk. Sonic isn't a real life thing, he's of an alien race of men. His Spirit is Human and he was created by God as a person. He has no relation to any real life thing. Definition wise it's not bestiality because of this.

Can't tell if Princess Elise's swimsuit looks similar to Sara (from the Sonic OVA)'s wedding dress on purpose or if that's just a product of Princess Elise's design in general resembling that design... Hmmmmm. X3 Either way, this is such a darling drawing you've done! The background with the sunset dipping into the horizon and shining down on the ocean is beautifully done, beautiful but not so detailed that it draws any attention away from the two cuties here. >u< I really like how they look holding onto each other on the hammock, they've both been through a lot so to see them so peaceful is really nice. <33333
